EBAY COLLECTIONS

eBay collections were launched as an inspirational and editorial shopping experience by surfacing the very best of what eBay has to offer and creating an environment of discovery and community around products through curation and storytelling.

My role was to lead a team of curators to create daily collections for eBay’s homepage through careful curation of items and images, drawing the user into a visual story. I was responsible for overseeing the research, inventory sourcing, editorial direction and the final visual presentation of each collection. All of the visual decisions were informed by a series of questions and objectives that included what we want to communicate and why, what is important for the user to know, and how do the text and the visual presentation capture the users attention.

editors’ picks

Editors’ Picks was the next iteration of collections that prioritized straightforward visual display and category focused curation in response to site wide personalization efforts. In collaboration with the product team I shifted the collections strategy to an approach that highlighted individual products in a clean, and eye-catching presentation, while maintaining an editorial point of view.
